Complaint Information: OBD II Codes

NHTSA Mandated Recalls
  • Recall 2005128 [Canada]: Other
On certain vehicles, the electrically controlled modular solenoid valve assembly (msva) 7-pack can allow water to contaminate its circuit board possibly resulting in inadvertent operation of the fifth wheel slide control. If the fifth wheel slide control actuates while the vehicle is in transit, momentum from the trailer can cause the fifth wheel to slide without input from the driver, which may result in a vehicle crash without warning possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will replace the 7-pack base and solenoids.

  • Recall 2005396 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain vehicles, the electrical ground cable that connects the engine block with the starter may be routed in a way that could cause chafing against the starter's positive battery cable. If chafing occurs, an electrical short may result and may cause a vehicle fire, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if required, replace and reroute the ground cable.

  • Recall 2004413 [Canada]: Structure
On certain vehicles, the sixteen (16) bolts that mount the front of the cab to two (2) cast mounting brackets were not properly torqued. Without proper assembly torque, these bolts can loosen during normal vehicle use and fall out. This may lead to the cab separating from the vehicle's chassis during a crash that may result in properly damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will replace and torque all sixteen (16) bolts.
