  On certain vehicles, the automatic slack adjuster anchor brackets can fail due to fatigue fracture and completely separate, causing the slack adjusters to function as manual slack adjusters. If the support bracket for an automatic slack adjuster fails, the brakes at that wheel end will not automatically adjust. As the brake linings wear, the vehicle will have reduced braking capacity, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: dealers will install a new bracket on each suspect slack adjuster.

  On certain vehicles, the front hubs may have less than an infinite fatigue life if used with a thin brake drum. If a wheel hub experiences fatigue failure the result could be complete wheel separation from the vehicle. This could in turn cause loss of vehicle control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: both front wheel hubs will be replaced on affected vehicles.

  Note: vehicles equipped with prosleeper. A micro relay located behind the hvac control panel in the bunk of the prosleeper models can corrode in the presence of moisture, which could cause a short circuit between contacts on the relay. This could result in a vehicle fire. Correction: relay will be replaced with a sealed relay.

  Certain vehicles may have experienced loosening of the end yoke retaining nut. If this condition occurs, the driveline can vibrate and separate from the vehicle, causing vehicle damage or personal injury or both. Correction: center bearing package and coupler shaft will be replaced with a new coupler shaft and a 60mm center bearing package.

  Mis-matched parts were assembled on some six spoke wheel assemblies which could cause high stresses in the wheel studs and potential wheel stud failures. This could result in wheel separation and a possible accident without prior warning.   The wiring from the electronic control unit may have been connected to the wrong wheel sensor. Should the abs wiring be crossed, it would result in a significant degradation in brake stability. A signal would be sent to the wrong brake chamber when a brake imbalance is detected. This could result in a vehicle accident without prior warning. Correction: the abs wiring will be inspected and properly connected as required.

  Note: vehicles equipped with eaton rear axle assemblies with antilok wheel nuts. The wheel nut lock tabs on these vehicles may fatigue and fail from cracking during service. This could result in separation of the wheel assembly from the axle housing. A disengaged wheel assembly could pose a hazard to other users of the roadway and adjacent property. This condition would also affect vehicle stability and control and could cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: antilok wheel nuts will be removed and replaced with standard wheel nuts and lock ring.

  On certain vehicles, water intrusion into the sleeper berth's bunk control panel area may pool in the tops of the dome light, tv/vcr, and/or refrigerator power switches. The led circuit boards in these switches may begin to heat up and possibly produce a flame or fire, without warning, that could cause property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: dealer will install a water shield over the back of the entire bunk control panel.
