• Recall 127511 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 73398 [USA]: If the jack were to activate while the vehicle is being towed, it could result in a crash leading to property damage, injury, or death.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 eagle and model year 2010 designer fifth wheel travel trailers. In the presence of moisture, a remote activation module for the leveling jack may activate autonomously without the use of the remote control.
  dealers will install a relay which will prevent the remote module from self-activating in the presence of moisture. The safety recall is expected to begin during february 2010. Owners may contact jayco at 1-800-283-8267.

The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 13e039000 (equipment, latches/locks/linkages); however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure. Received recall notice dated 1/31/2014, contacted fastec industrial with necessary information via email communication and received confirmation of information back, dated 4/11/2014 with expected ship date of parts in 3-4 weeks. Received nothing. Tried to contact company via phone, mailbox full, 5/24/2014. Left message complaining about lack of communication or concern and a number to return call, 10/15/2014.
