This unit is equipped with dexter axles and is a new unit. It was determined this week after 2 attempts of reporting incidents to local rv dealership that all four grease seals failed causing loss of brakes. First incident occurred on nys thruway traveling @ 60 mph during summer of 2011. A sudden stop was needed and there was no braking from the trailer. Tow vehicle is a 08 chevy 2500hd. I was able to avoid collision with numerous other vehicles stopped on thruway due to shoulder lane available. Otherwise, there would have been a collision and loss of life. 2nd incident occurred on 4/29/12 when going down a small hill. Trailer brake controller showed power to brakes, however, when fully engaged, there was no brakes from trailer causing both tow vehicle and trailer to go through a red light and into intersection. Local dealer has stated they have not seen a grease seal failure like this in all 4 drums at once causing complete loss of braking. Jayco is covering repair under warranty, however, where is reassurance this does not occur again?? *tr
