• Recall 127558 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 116532 [USA]: If the rivet shears under occupant load, the occupant may fall, increasing the risk of personal injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 seismic pinnacle and eagle premier recreational trailers manufactured april 3, 2013, to february 27, 2015. In the affected vehicles, a rivet for the quad entry steps may shear and fail, causing the steps to give when being used.
  jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the defective rivets with bolts, free of charge. The recall began on june 4, 2015. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2015 eagle 30.5 bhlt fifth wheel trailers manufactured march 13, 2014, to august 1, 2014. The affected trailers have incorrect tire size information on the tire label. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 110, "tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a gvwr of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less."

  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2015 eagle ht fw 28.5rsts "pr" trailers manufactured june 2, 2014, to october 28, 2014. Incorrect tire size information may be found on the tire label. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 110, "tire selection and rims for passenger cars."
  jayco will mail new labels to registered owners with placement instructions. Owners can also request dealers to install the new label with the correct tire size st225/75r15d, free of charge.   Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2015 eagle ht fw p1 pn pp pr pw px py and pz trailers manufactured august 20, 2014, to october 27, 2014. The affected vehicles may have incorrect weight calculations on the cargo carrying capacity label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 110, "tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a gvwr of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less."

As a result, the vehicle may inadvertently be fitted with incorrect replacement tires. Tl* the contact owned a 2018 chevrolet silverado 2500 hauling a 2015 jayco eagle. While at a camping site, the contact noticed that the water tank had no water. After looking under the rv, the contact noticed that the water tank bolts were missing and the tank was hanging. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The contact strapped the tank onto the rv and drained the water out. The contact noticed a leak coming from the rv and took it to camping world (1861 state highway 5s, amsterdam, ny 12010, 518-843-0434). The rv was currently being diagnosed. The rv was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number: 1te0087. The manufacturer informed the contact to call nhtsa to file a complaint. There was no mileage.

We received our 5th wheel from the dealer after doing some warranty repairs on it. Got around 100 miles away and one of the tires developed a protrusion on the inside of the tire. Stopped and called for a repairs. On our way to the northwest of the united states, from memphis, tn, once a week for four weeks we experienced a tire failure. Second one in denver, colorado, the next was in spokane, wash. Finally the last one sacramento, cal. Number three tire did damaged to the side of our 5th wheel when it exploded and dragged the rim on the pavement, damaging the rim. Got back home and sent number 3 and 4 tire back to towmax for analysis as requested by them. Got back the reply and they said they would only pay for the tires replacement ($250.00). What a complete joke. Have had over $1000.00 damage from the number 3 tire. Guess i will be calling them tomorrow and see what they are going to do about the other damaged to the unit. With all the issues with these tires the company should be responsible for all/any damage beyond from just getting a reimbursement for the tires. This 5th wheel was still almost new and had very low mileage on the tires. All instances except for one was on the interstate and left us and fellow travelers in a dangerous positon until the replacement could be made. As a master ase truck/auto technician for 40 years i am well aware of tire conditions and maintenance. This is the bad news from towmax "we are willing to provide this customer goodwill only on the condition that you sign a general release of dynamic tire corporation (dtc) from all other liability relating to the incident as well as against any future claims related to this manner" this was a letter that i received from them dated aug. 2, 2016. This response from them is like a kick in the butt. We will see what they will provide with the next conversation.
