Recall 127503 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Recall 62056 [USA]: After a period of continuous use on the high speed setting, lack of grease on the output shaft gear may cause the gear to distort or fracture during operation resulting in a loss of wiper function. inoperative wipers under inclement weather conditions could cause a crash due to impaired visibility.
On certain motor homes, the windshield wiper motor may have been produced without grease being applied to the output shaft gear. ford is conducting the owner notification and remedy for this campaign. Dealers will inspect the wiper motor for the presence of grease and grease the wiper motor gears if necessary. Recall 36096 [USA]: This condition, if not addressed, could result in a crash, injury or death.
Certain motor homes may have u-joint retaining clips missing or not installed properly. If the retaining clips are not installed properly, the u-joint may become dislodged from the yoke and the drive shaft will become disconnected from the drive train. dealers have completed the repairs to 100 percent of the units at the factory and at dealerships. Recall 2017649 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. Recall 2006012 [Canada]: Powertrain
On certain vehicles, the u-joint retaining clips may have been omitted during vehicle assembly. This can allow the driveshaft to separate from the transmission while the vehicle is in motion, endangering other road users. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, install retaining clips or replace the u-joint assembly.
