• Recall 127624 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 97019 [USA]: If motor damage occurs, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2013-14 eagle premiere, jay feather ultra lite, jay flight, jay flight swift, octane, and white hawk; model year 2013 eagle, eagle ht, jay flight bungalow, jay flight destination, pinnacle, redhawk and seismic; and model year 2014 precept recreational vehicles. In these vehicles, if the awning installation sequence is not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowingly become damaged.

  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly.   On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the awning motor.
