Recall 127522 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. The recall began on january 15, 2018. Jayco is recalling 410 my 2008 jay flight g2 series 32bhds travel trailers. Some neutral 120 volt wires may not be properly installed under the neutral buss bar set screw which may cause the wires to become loose. dealers will inspect these travel trailers and, if necessary, properly secure the neutral 120 volt wires under the set screw. The recall began on october 21, 2008. Recall 2017649 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. Recall 2008375 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain travel trailers, the neutral 120 volt wires may not be properly installed under the neutral buss bar set screw which may cause the wires to become loose. This condition may result in a fire causing personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect and properly secure the neutral 120 volt wires under the set screw.
