• Recall 127519 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 76292 [USA]: If the jack comes loose while the vehicle is in motion a crash, injury or death may result.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2011 eagle, super lite and jay flight g2 travel trailers manufactured from december 9, 2010, through february 11, 2011. These trailers may have cracked bolts attaching the leveling jacks to the trailer frame. If all of the bolts break, it could result in the jack coming loose from the frame.
  dealers will replace the fasteners attaching the leveling jacks to the frame with more robust fasteners. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during may 2011. Owners may contact jayco at 1-800-283-8267.

• Recall 71242 [USA]: A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire and/or explosion causing property damage and/or personal injury.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2011 travel trailers and fifth wheels manufactured from august 16, 2010, through october 1, 2010, equipped with atwood 35 series range ovens. A potential exists for a small fracture within the line delivering gas to the oven cavity burner. Such a fracture may cause propane gas to leak from the line.

  On certain travel trailers, the bolts attaching the leveling jacks to the trailer frame may be cracked. If all bolts fail while the vehicle is in motion, the jack(s) could separate from the trailer and strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the leveling jack bolts with more robust fasteners.

  On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the atwood 35-series range oven, model number beginning with rv1735, rv2135, ra1735, or ra2135, may develop a small crack within the line delivering gas to the oven cavity burner. A propane leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or explosion, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the oven supply tube.

  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. Atwood propane range has a malfunctioning oven pilot light and goes out when in use. I have replaced the pilot light assy at atwood's suggestion and it does not make a difference. I am hesitant to use the range for safety considerations. I note there was a recall shortly after my oven was built on 05 27 2010 and am thinking the original recall may not have been complete. *js
