• Recall 127533 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 101796 [USA]: If the consumer installs a tire on the trailer that is specified on the incorrect label, it may cause uneven wear on the tire and towing instability which could increase the risk of a crash.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2014 jay flight swift travel trailers manufactured january 10, 2014, through january 13, 2014, and equipped with the baja option. The federal certification and tire labels have the tire size incorrectly listed as st205/75r14c instead of lt235/75r15c. Thus, the vehicles do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 120, "tire selection and rims for motor vehicles other than passenger cars."
  jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect federal certification and tire labels with new labels with the correct tire information as lt235/75r15c. The recall began on march 24, 2014. Customers may contact jayco at 1-800-283-8267.

• Recall 99443 [USA]: A poor wiring connection could increase the wiring's resistance, causing excessive heat, resulting in an increased risk of fire.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2014 jay flight and jay flight swift travel trailers manufactured july 8, 2013, through august 30, 2013. In the affected vehicles, an improper amount of insulation may be stripped from the 110v ac water heater ignition wires resulting in a poor connection of the wires.

• Recall 97026 [USA]: If motor damage occurs, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2013-14 eagle premiere, jay feather ultra lite, jay flight, jay flight swift, octane, and white hawk; model year 2013 eagle, eagle ht, jay flight bungalow, jay flight destination, pinnacle, redhawk and seismic; and model year 2014 precept recreational vehicles. In these vehicles, if the awning installation sequence is not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowingly become damaged.

2014 jayco flight swift slx 154bh vin [xxx]. I bought this new from north trail rv, fort myers, fl. This is my first travel trailer, and experienced a learning curve. Had a good hitch with proper sway bars. After taking cross country trip in 2015-16, noticed tire wear was abnormal. Planned to replace them before next trip. Next trip coming up. In shopping for replacement tires, i've discovered the two original tires from jayco (grand ride power touring st175 80r 13 load range c- 6ply -rated to carry 1360 @ 50psi each) were rated insufficient to carry the listed gvwr of 3200lbs. The net weight of the trailer is listed as 2455 lb. I contacted jayco about this discrepancy. The first person agreed that the tire rating was for only 1360 each tire, two (2) tires equaling 2720. Lbs, which would be sufficient rating. The specs call for additional weight appx 755 lbs. That weight brings the load up to appx 3200lbs. Jayco rep said they didn't have those tires anymore and gave me a part # to replace tires and rims at a local dealer. When i asked why they would be selling an underrated tire on their trailers, they responded with "the nhtsa had never received a complaint, so they must be ok"? Something is wrong that jayco continues to sell tires underrated for their travel trailers. I will continue to shop for properly rated tires and consider myself lucky that nothing happened on my last long trip.
