• Recall 127529 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 103384 [USA]: If the microwave starts on its own and there are contents inside, a fire could result.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 seneca, pinnacle, and eagle premier, and 2014 precept motorhomes and fifth wheels manufactured january 14, 2013, through august 26, 2013, and equipped with electrolux/frigidaire kg series microwaves, models cfmv152clb and cfmv154cls, manufactured january 27, 2013, through april 10, 2013, in the serial number range kg30607951 through kg31600670. In the affected vehicles, the microwave may start on its own and begin heating when unattended.
  jayco will notify owners, and authorized electrolux service technicians will replace the membrane/keypad component, free of charge. The recall will begin on may 7, 2014. Owners may contact jayco customer service by calling 1-800-283-8267. Note: owners are advised to leave the microwave unplugged when not in use.

• Recall 97016 [USA]: If motor damage occurs, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2013-14 eagle premiere, jay feather ultra lite, jay flight, jay flight swift, octane, and white hawk; model year 2013 eagle, eagle ht, jay flight bungalow, jay flight destination, pinnacle, redhawk and seismic; and model year 2014 precept recreational vehicles. In these vehicles, if the awning installation sequence is not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowingly become damaged.

• Recall 2017649 [Canada]: Accessories
  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly.   On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the hsm quad steps rivets that hold the steps together could loosen and fail. If the rivets were to fail, the steps could collapse which could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will inspect and replace the rivets with stronger bolts.

  On certain travel trailers and motorhomes equipped with frigidaire kg series microwaves, a defect in the microwave oven keypad could cause the oven to activate without pressing any keys. This could result in excessive heat, smoke or possibly a fire. Correction: dealers will replace affected keypads. In the interim, consumers should not store anything in the microwave.

  On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the awning motor.
