Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jayco seneca motorhome installed on a 2006 chevy 5000 series chassis. The contact stated that the abs warning light illuminated intermittently and then remained illuminated. The contact had an independnent mechanic attempt to scan the issue with a handheld device. The contact stated that the scan tool was unable to detect any fault codes. The abs computer eventually communicated with the other computer system showing the overall brake failure within the motorhome. The contact called the chassis manufacturer and was told the control module for the abs had been placed on an international back order. The contact was given a case number. An unknown dealer suggested that the module needed to be replaced. The contact installed a used module on his own. The failure mileage was 92,000.

While on a trip to florida, the rear of the motorhome was sagging and swayed terribly over un-even pavement and in wind gusts. Upon my return home, i did some research and figured that the chassis is undersprung causing handling and safety issues. The manufacturer has upgraded the springs on identical model coaches from 15,000 lb springs to 19,000 lb springs at no charge. This was a design / build issue, not a faulty part. I phoned jayco who admitted that they had made this correction to other coaches, but were no longer doing so. It would appear to me that a recall should have been done to correct the design / build flaw. *tr

My 2007 jayco seneca motor-home was left at an arizona dealer for warranty repairs. While at the dealership and approximately two weeks after i dropped it off the motor-home started on fire while turned off and parked. It has been determined that a main wiring harness in the rear battery compartment rubbed through the protective coating and caused a short starting the fire. The dealership subsequently checked another customers jayco motor-home and discovered the same problem existed but the wiring harness had not yet rubbed through. My motor-home has substantial fire and smoke damage. Jayco is denying any responsible by stating to me that it is the customers responsibility to inspect wiring harnesses in concealed enclosed areas for rubbing. This wiring harness was in the same position as it was when the motor-home left the factory and the placement of the harness is a serious safety issue. The compartment where the fire occurred is right below the main bedroom in the motor-home. *tr

11/13/ 2007 gauges began to light up or not work. Condition has only gotten worse, leading to the power train fuse to blow while driving, leaving me with no power steering and little brakes. The cluster goes, i only have the speedometer working, which affects my exhaust brakes and my electric brakes that control my trailer. God forbid if the fuse blows while in the mountains with a trailer. *tr
