• Recall 127507 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 95968 [USA]: An improper electrical connection at the buss bar could lead to overheating and melting of the transfer switch, increasing the risk of a fire, injury or death.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2007 greyhawk class c motorhomes; model year 2008 and 2010 seneca class c motorhomes; model year 2009 and 2011 eagle fifth-wheel; 2010 recon fifth-wheel; and model year 2008-2010 designer fifth wheel vehicles manufactured from june 15, 2006, through august 13, 2010 for an improper electrical connection at the buss bar on the iota-brand transfer switches installed in the vehicles.

  Jayco is recalling 1,673 my 2005-2008 seneca motor homes. An electrical short can occur if the battery cables were not tucked into the compartment in a manner that does not allow the cables to be pinched between the battery slide tray and the compartment door.

• Recall 81022 [USA]: If the copper tube cracked, pressurized lp gas may escape into the compartment. this condition, if not addressed, may result in a fire, injury or death.
  Jayco is recalling 1,265 my 2005-2008 seneca '35gs' and my 2007-2008 greyhawk '33ds' and '32ss' motor homes. The conduit clamp on the copper liquid propane (lp) tube feeding the slide-0ut is incorrectly placed which may allow the copper tube to bend and possibly leak with the movement of the slide-out.

  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. 2008 jayco seneca electrical problem. Rv parked in rv park with surge protector. The rv lost all power to all outlets but one. After multiple checks of the electrical system, it turns out that the iota-50rg transfer switch burned out. There were no unusual loads or movement. The housing of the unit burned and burned the power side red cable in half. I called jayco as well as went to the local dealer and was mocked. I was told that i should know better to believe a alledged defect shown on the internet is real. This is a potentially life threatening situation that jayco is mocking

I have a 2008 jayco 36m motorhome. I have found a flaw in the way this motorhome was built. The 80 lb propane tank is within 6 in of the rear tire with no protection between. When you get a blow out which i have the tire wraps around the tank and can and in fact did rip off the main line by snapping it off. It even bent the tank, tore off the plastic cover and almost blew up. It's a miracle that it did not kill all of us and wipe out the rv. This is a very dangerous problem. There needs to be a cage around the tank or move it to a safer place. This is share stupidity and i don't think anyone cares!
