Jayco White Hawk 2013

• Recall 127532 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 97021 [USA]: If motor damage occurs, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
  Jayco is recalling certain model year 2013-14 eagle premiere, jay feather ultra lite, jay flight, jay flight swift, octane, and white hawk; model year 2013 eagle, eagle ht, jay flight bungalow, jay flight destination, pinnacle, redhawk and seismic; and model year 2014 precept recreational vehicles. In these vehicles, if the awning installation sequence is not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowingly become damaged.

• Recall 2017649 [Canada]: Accessories
  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. • Recall 2013142 [Canada]: Other
  On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the awning motor.

Jayco shipped early model year white hawk travel trailers with 2 3/8" axles (42" wide stance axle spacing). During turning the wide stance axles are bending causing damage to axle, bearing assembly, and tires, because the axles can't hold up to the weight . Tires are getting excessive inside wear on the inside tread, axles are bending, and if not caught in time catching fire. Dexter axle is providing full replacement of axles to a upgraded 3" axle size to prevent damage mentioned above, if the consumer is proactive and contacts jayco and / or dexter axle. Jayco, at this time, refuses to notify customers of this issue or issue a recall. Being a career fire fighter, i feel jayco is not only putting there consumers in harms way, but the rest of us on the road. *tr
