The contact owns a 2019 jayco white hawk. The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 21v184000 (equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The contact was not able to get a dealer to repair the vehicle. Parts distribution disconnect.

While driving at highway speed, i received a warning that the trailer had disconnected. I had no trailer brakes on either axle. I later traced the problem to the use of insulation displacement connectors (idc) used on very small wire.*dt consumer stated he is unsure weather there was corrosion but believes mechanical vibration has something to do with it.*jb
