Excessive engine vibration causing numbness and tingling in both legs and groin area as well as blurred vision. Vibration is clearly resulting from engine rpms, the higher the rpms, the worse the vibration. Vibration stops when the clutch is pulled in and rpms decrease even while coasting at higher speeds on the road. Therefore vibration is only the result of the engine rpms, not the wheels or suspension. I spoke to ktm and dealer, they state they cannot find anything at issue, that is just the way the motorcycle rides. I was also told that the engine was bolted directly to the frame so the vibration cannot be abated. I had an expert mechanic with 30 years experience with ktm motorcycles test drive and he experienced the same intense vibration issues. He suggested that the crank shaft could be defective. I told this to ktm and to the dealer but they would not address this issue. I did not notice the vibration problems when i purchased this motorcycle new because i took it for only a short test drive. It takes about 20 minutes to experience the effects of the vibration problems. I ride mostly on the road but on some trails as well. The intensity of the vibration makes the motorcycle unusable for anything but very short rides. Otherwise, it is dangerous due to loss of sensation in the legs and continued blurred vision/mental impairment. Note that the motorcycle has less then 300 miles on it.
