NHTSA Mandated Recalls

  • Recall 2021536 [Canada]: Accessories
    Issue: on certain rv trailers, the propane (lp) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: this recall only affects trailers equipped with a winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety risk: unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective action: kz rv will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (lp) regulator.

  • Recall 2019581 [Canada]: Accessories
    Issue: on certain travel trailers, the brackets used to mount the flip-down storage rack could fail. If this happens, the rack and its contents could fall from the motorhome. Safety risk: a storage rack that detaches from the travel trailer could cause personal injury or create a road hazard for others. Corrective actions: kz rv will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their travel trailer to a dealer to change the mounting brackets and inspect the storage rack. If the rack is damaged, it will be replaced.

  • Recall 2018433 [Canada]: Structure
    On certain travel trailers, the liquid propane (lp) supply lines are routed through a wheel well and not adequately protected from damage. This could cause a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or explosion causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will re-route the lp supply lines away from the wheel well.

  • Recall 2018286 [Canada]: Structure
    On certain travel trailers equipped with solera smart arm awnings, the awning may open with no action from an operator. If this happens while the vehicle is in motion, the awning may detach, creating a potential road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the awning controller.

  • Recall 2018186 [Canada]: Electrical
    On certain travel trailers, an improper circuit breaker for the microwave/water heater circuit may have been installed. If the circuit breaker is incorrect, the microwave/water heater circuit could overheat, which would increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the 15/20 amp circuit breaker with the correct 15/15 amp circuit breaker.
