Recall 2018005 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain travel trailers equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. Note: for more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.Kidde.Com.
Recall 2013337 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain travel trailers, some deadbolt locks could fail and lock the interior handle, preventing a person located inside the travel trailer from being able to exit when the door is locked. This could increase the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace affected deadbolt locks.
Recall 2011109 [Canada]: Accessories
Certain refrigerators used in recreational vehicles (rvs) contain either a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch to interrupt power when it detects high temperatures that could lead to a fire. An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.
