  • Recall 2021536 [Canada]: Accessories
Issue: on certain rv trailers, the propane (lp) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: this recall only affects trailers equipped with a winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety risk: unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective action: kz rv will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (lp) regulator.

  • Recall 2017233 [Canada]: Structure
Certain travel trailers were built with floor frame outriggers that can fail with use. In the event of an outrigger failure, the living portion of the trailer would begin to sag and could potentially fail, resulting in structural instability of the trailer, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will reinforce the outrigger frame structure and add additional outriggers as required.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 livin lite quicksilver rock climber. While being towed on a trailer at 62 mph, the aluminum top opened without warning. The contact stated that he had just purchased the camper and had not opened or latched the top himself. The camper was taken to chase auto & rv (980 deadwood st, fort pierre, sd 57532 (605) 945-2277), but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The camper was not repaired because the dealer and manufacturer could not reach a conclusion as to what caused the top to open. The contact stated that the straps on the camper were rubber balled straps that could not latch. The failure mileage was not applicable.
