  Issue: on certain school buses, the service door may not be adjusted correctly. As a result, the door panels may get stuck when the emergency release handle is used, or may not open when force is applied to the door. Additionally, the exterior emergency release handle may not allow the service door to be opened from outside of the bus. Safety risk: a door that cannot be opened could delay exiting the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency response. Both of these issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective actions: micro bird will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealer to adjust the service door. Alternatively, micro bird will provide owners instructions on how to correctly adjust the service door.

• Recall 2021042 [Canada]: Electrical
  Issue: on certain school vehicles, wires and/or connectors located in the wall behind the driver's seat may have been damaged during the assembly process. Also, metal shavings could have fallen into an electrical connector. Damaged wires or connectors could cause lights and accessories not to work properly, or could create a short circuit. Safety risk: a short circuit could create the risk of a fire.   On certain school buses, the passenger shoulder belt anchorage plate(s) may not be attached correctly. In the event of a crash, the belt anchorage plate may become partially or totally detached, reducing the capacity of the shoulder belt to retain the passenger, resulting in an increased risk of injury or fatality. Correction: dealers will inspect, and if necessary, re-install the shoulder belt anchorage plate using the correct procedure.

  Certain school buses may fail to conform to canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 222 - school bus passenger seating and crash protection. The thickness of the foam in the knee impact area of the lower seatback is insufficient, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
