  On certain mini vans, the clockspring assembly may have been wound incorrectly during the vehicle assembly process.
  dealers will replace the clockspring assembly on all vehicles with 70,000 miles or less. An extended lifetime warranty will also be placed on this component for all affected vehicles, regardless of mileage. Daimlerchrysler will also reimburse owners who have paid to have the clockspring replaced on their vehicles. Owner notification began november 18, 2002. • Recall 5406 [USA]: Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.
  Vehicle description: mini vans built with 3.3l and 3.8l engines have fuel rails with nitrole rubber o-ring seals that can degrade over time. Fuel leakage from the underhood fuel injection fuel rail could result, increasing the likelihood of a vehicle fire.
  dealers will install a seal on the vehicle fuel rails to prevent external leakage of fuel from the fuel rail crossover tube, should the existing o-rings continue to degrade. Owner notification began on january 25, 2002. Due to the large quantity of vehicles involved in this campaign, the owner notification will be phased over the next several months. However, if a vehicle is leaking fuel from the o-rings, the vehicle should be taken into a dealer to have this repaired as soon as possible. • Recall 14276 [USA]: This can cause difficulty in releasing a child from the restraint.
  Vehicle description: mini vans equipped with integrated child seats. The shoulder harness restraint on the integrated child seat can become difficult to extract when the safety belt latch plate becomes contaminated.
  dealers will clean the latch mechanism. An extender will be added to the emergency release anchor for the child seat safety belts so that the release clips are more visible and accessible to the operator in the event that the retractor mechanism can not be unlocked. In addition, an instructional owner's manual supplement card will be provided.

• Recall 11145 [USA]: The latch plate located in the seat cushion area must be free to move back against its stop after the buckle is removed to allow the shoulder belts to be pulled out. always be sure the area around the latch plate is free of food or other items that might prevent the latch plate from moving back.
  Vehicle description: multipurpose passenger vehicles equipped with integral child seats. This is not a safety recall in accordance with federal regulation 573. However, it is deemed a safety improvement campaign by the agency. On the integral child seat, the shoulder belts restraining the child retract and lock in place after the belt buckle is connected to the latch plate. The latch plate movement locks the belts to make sure the child is restrained in the case of a vehicle crash.
  owners are being provided with a video tape and 2 harness clips. The video tape instructs owners on the proper use and maintenance of the child seats.

  On certain vehicles, the clockspring assembly may have been backwound during the vehicle assembly process. This could illuminate the air bag warning lamp and may eventually result in a driver's air bag open circuit. Correction: dealers will replace the clockspring assembly on vehicles with less then 115 000 kms. Owners of vehicles with over 115 000 kms will be offered extended lifetime warranty on the clockspring.

• Recall 2000215 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles equipped with the 3.3l or 3.8l engine the nitrile "o-ring" seals used in the fuel rail may degrade over time and extended exposure to elevated temperatures. This could result in fuel leakage, and, in the presence of an ignition source, an underhood fire could occur. Correction: external seals will be installed at both of the fuel rail crossover tube joints. If the crossover tube joints are leaking or red rust exists in the area, the fuel rail assembly must be replaced.

  Note: vehicles equipped with an integrated child seat. The integrated child seat safety belt latch mechanism may become contaminated causing the seat belt release mechanism to stick and prevent the retractor from releasing.   Note: this recall has been superseded by recall 97-107 (chrysler-714). The master cylinder rear seal between the hydraulic fluid and the vacuum reservoir, may not seal adequately. This can allow hydraulic fluid to be drawn into the power assist vacuum reservoir. Loss of brake fluid will result in illumination of the instrument panel brake warning lamp. Continued operation of the vehicle with the warning lamp illuminated may result in extended stopping distances. Correction: affected vehicles will be inspected and master cylinder will be replaced if required.

Tl* the contact owns a 1997 plymouth grand voyager. The contact noticed an extensive fuel leak coming from the vehicle. The contact was not notified of nhtsa campaign number: 00v268000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence due to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 196,559.

I got in the van in my driveway and turned the ignition switch on then i noticed that the air bag light was on. So i turned the ignition switch off waited a minute then turned it back on and the light was still on. I thought it was a fuse so i proceeded to my destination. As i arrived at my mom's house i tried to blow the horn, then i found out that my horn did not work. So i turned the van off and i called a friend who is a mechanic and he asked me if the air bag light stayed on even after i turned the van on and off i said yes then i explained everything to him. He told me that i needed to try my cruise control. And if it did not work then my clockspring is gone. Well cruise control did not work. And the airbag light is still on.

Takata recall,serpentine belt has shredded at least six times and just came off three times ,tensioner replaced three times,idler pulley twice,when belt shreds wires sever and van stops abruptly,windshield wipers stop abruptly hesitating before resuming,sway bar links need replaced,o2sensors check engine light to come on,cv axles failing replaced right twice,hub assembly and brake calipers miss aligned,engine mounts failed and needed,replaced,airbag and abs lights on dashboard panel fuse blowing,taillights possible short causing brake light to fail,battery needing to be disconnected. To save battery from dyeing due to brake lights staying on constantly, transmission jerking and hesitating in reverse and first gear,passenger side window not operating possible problem,back windows open but will not always shut,horn not working,replaced fuel pump due to gas leak,when braking van lurches forward,front end shakes, tie bar ends replaced,heater blows cold on passenger side and not cooling,most problems occurred while driving,replaced stop brake switch, brake light drivers side illuminated, but not when brake petal pushed,transmission leaking by cv axel,turn signals and panels inside by dash not always operating,only when negative terminal is readjustment,lights flashing as if panic mode was activated when car is not on,rattling. Sound from front of van possible cv axel or suspension.

I was in my way to work when it was raining ever time it rains the belts comes off this is very dangerous. I had no power steering at all when this happen with muscle i managed to pull over onto the shoulder of the road. Once water hits the tension wheel belt it knocks it off which makes it slide off every time.

The drivers side strut tower is rusting out, but not on the top like most of them do. 3/4 of the side of the tower is rusted and gone. The passenger side still looks good. I have gone to several shops but no one can help me. The vans 3.3l engine and trans are still in good shape so i need to find someone or something to fix this

When i turn on my car after 3 to 5 second it would turn off and when i am driving when it reaches about 15 to 25 the check engine light will turn on and car turns off and steering wheel dos not work and the brakes dos not work, but the electricity is still works , the stereo would still be on. *tr

The rear door was open. I heard a loud noise and i found out the passenger side bolt bad broken on the lift support. The door did not fall. I am having a very difficult time raising the rear door wait one support.

Since purchasing this van used last year 2011, my van has a high pitched squealing noise. Dealership (3rd party) stated it was only a wet belt and would stop once the belt dried. This noise never stopped. My teen driver was alone when the belt snapped causing her to loose control of the steering. Seeing other post of similar or worse case scenarios i am looking into further action. Neither the mechanic at the dealership or any other mechanic ever stated to me that this issue is common in this vehicle. *tr

So far this vehicle has been a lemon. I have replaced everything on it, from fuel pump, sensors, steering column, belt tensioner and pulley, alternator, wiper switch that seems to have a mind of its own even tho i replaced a new switch. Now more electrical problems. The instrument cluster is now messed up. Abs light and check engine light keep coming on all my gauges go flat. Lights go dim. Then suddenly lights will flash and they will all come back on. Then go off again. Now, not only do they go flat but now i have a shifting problem. The vehicle will not shift. It seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. I replaced the whole braking system. Egr valve, cam sensor, cruise control, the body. The gas pedal use to accelerate on its own. That was a little scary goin down the road not knowing when it was gonna do that. Everyone who rides with me keeps joking as if the vehicle is haunted. Lights go weak, i've replaced all the bulbs cleaned the headlights. Nothing seems to work right on this vehicle. I've already invested thousands. Way more then its worth. I've had problems where the vehicle just refuses to start. Sometimes not a problem. Then usually in the cold it wont turn over at all. I have replaced the battery numerous times checked for codes. Airbag light would come on. Transmission hesitates. Sometimes vehicle shudders acts like its gonna quit.Vehicle just has on going problems. *tr
