Recall 2020170 [Canada]: Fuel supply
Issue: on certain snowmobiles, the fuel supply hose may not be properly secured and could contact the air box assembly. Over time, this could cause damage to the hose and result in a fuel leak. Safety risk: a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to not to use your snowmobile until the recall repairs have been completed. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
Recall 2016574 [Canada]: Powertrain
Polaris industries is conducting a voluntary safety advisory program involving throttle assemblies on certain snowmobiles. The throttle assembly located on the right handlebar could become dislodged through impact, rotation, or other manipulation. If this assembly becomes dislodged, and is not properly repaired, the lower retention block may interfere with the throttle flipper. This could cause the throttle to stick in the open position, which could result in unintended vehicle movement, potentially resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Polaris is advising owners who experience a throttle block that becomes dislodged or damaged to take their vehicle to a polaris dealer for repair. This action is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act.
Recall 2015586 [Canada]: Steering
On certain snowmobiles, steering components could become damaged in a high-impact event. This could potentially result in damage to the pitman or idler arm, which could affect steering control, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will add steel plates to the pitman and idler arm assemblies to reduce the chance of component breakage.
