  Polaris industries inc. (polaris) have issued a stop ride stop sale notice on some model year 2016 rzr s 1000 and general vehicles. It has been identified the engine ecu fitted to these machines have not been installed with a misfire detection calibration. This may allow unburned fuel to enter the exhaust system which can cause excessive exhaust heat that may pose a fire hazard.

• Recall RSPV/2017/002 [UK]: Unintended brake drag
  Polaris industries inc. (polaris) have issued a stop ride stop sale notice on a small number of 2016-2017 rzr and general vehicles. It has been identified that the brake master cylinder on these machine may have been contaminated during manufacture. This can cause the front brake circuit seal to swell. The swollen seal may cause unintended brake drag resulting in a potential fire and/or burn hazard.

• Recall 2020331 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
  Issue: certain 4-point and 6-point harnesses (seat belts) may be missing stitching at the attachment points. As a result, the harness may not properly restrain a person in a crash. Note: this problem affects 4-point and 6-point harnesses that were factory installed, as well as aftermarket "subzero" 4-point and "click-6" 6-point seat belt harness kits sold through polaris dealers or polaris.Com. Safety risk: a harness that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective actions: if you purchased a vehicle with a potentially affected harness or purchased a potentially affected harness directly from polaris, polaris will notify you by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the harness stitching. If stitching is missing, the harness(es) will be replaced. Polaris advises you not operate your side-by-side utv until the harnesses have been inspected. • Recall 2018153 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain atv and side-by-side utv’s, the material of the fuel pump flange assembly (pfa) could degrade over time and may crack. In some circumstances, if the pfa material were to crack, it could result in a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will install a protective fuel pump cover to shield the pfa from contamination.

  On certain side-by-side utvs, the front brake circuit seal may be swollen due to an error in manufacturing. This could result in unintended brake drag, which could affect vehicle acceleration and cause undesired deceleration, produce excessive brake heat, and premature wear to brake components and could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will check the date code of the master cylinder, and if it falls within the suspect date range, dealers will inspect the master cylinder for contamination and will replace the brake master cylinder as necessary. Note: in the interim, owners are advised to not operate their vehicle until the defect has been repaired.

  Certain vehicles may develop an oil leak due to an oil drain tube fastener becoming loose or the engine overheating. This could allow engine oil to come in contact with hot surfaces, increasing the risk of fire resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the oil drain tube assembly, additionally the engine control unit (ecu) will be updated with new parameters to prevent the engine from overheating. Note: in the interim, owners are advised to not drive their vehicle.
