Roadtrek inc. (roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 zion, chase, zion slumber, play, play slumber, zion srt and play srt recreational vehicles, equipped with certain sds2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak. dealers will install a regulator support bracket in unsold vehicles. The remedy for sold units include inspecting the burner tubes, and repair, as necessary, free of charge. Previously sold units will be inspected and replace the cooktop as necessary, free of charge. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 110, "tire selection and rims." roadtrek will send owners replacement labels, free of charge. Recall 198698 [USA]: Damaged agm battery caps can detach. in addition, a damaged agm battery that is replaced with a lead-acid battery can lead to an acid spill. either of these scenarios can increase the risk of injury.

Recall 2021721 [Canada]: Label
Issue: the compliance label and the tire and loading information label on certain motorhomes list the incorrect tire size. The labels incorrectly list the tire size as lt245/75r16 e. The labels should instead list the tire size as lt225/75r16 e. This information could lead you to install the wrong tires on the motorhome, which could cause the electronic stability control (esc) system to not work correctly. Safety risk: a stability control system that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: roadtrek inc. Will mail new compliance and tire and loading information labels to each owner. If you would like help to install the label, you can contact a roadtrek inc. Dealer to have them installed free of change.
Recall 2021293 [Canada]: Electrical
Issue: on certain motorhomes, the voltage regulator for the alternator that charges the house batteries may be defective. As a result, the batteries could be over-charged and the electrical system could be damaged. If this happens, the batteries could leak acid. Safety risk: leaking battery acid could create an injury risk. Corrective actions: roadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect the additional alternator and replace it, if necessary. In order to minimize the safety risk before this inspection is completed, you should monitor the battery voltage to ensure that it does not exceed 15 volts. If it does, roadtrek recommends that you should stop using the vehicle immediately to avoid causing damage. If you are in an emergency situation, you can remove the drive belt on the additional alternator to prevent the batteries from being over-charged.
Recall 2022285 [Canada]: Accessories
Issue: on certain motorhomes, the burner control valve for the interior cooktop could become damaged. If this happens, the valve could leak propane. Safety risk: a propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective actions: roadtrek inc. Will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the cooktop.
