Recall 2018228 [Canada]: Steering
On certain vehicles built on a freightliner xbr chassis, a rubber-coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. On certain motorhomes, an opening in the wall of the compartment that houses the keyless entry module could allow for moisture to enter the compartment. If moisture were to enter through the opening, it could contaminate the keyless entry module, potentially causing an electrical short, which could result in the wiring to melt, smoke, or lead to a fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will seal the opening in the compartment wall with expanding spray foam.
Recall 2016323 [Canada]: Powertrain
On certain motorhomes, when the throttle pedal is released, the associated throttle pedal sensor may not return to zero, causing the engine brake to fail to activate as expected. Correction: daimler trucks north america authorized service facilities will replace the throttle pedal.
Recall 2016298 [Canada]: Brakes
On certain motorhomes equipped with a heavier weight adjustable foot pedal, the brake activation signal to the motorhome’s brake lights and to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

The kiwkee 34 series step has the rivets falling off letting the steps fall and move when a person enters/exits the motorhome. I have temporarily supported the step with a rivet however it is currently not braded and is held in place with jb weld. I stepped out of the motorhome and the step gave way and i keep from falling by hanging on to the handle. This happened after we parked in the rv park for the evening. It appears that the rivets are turning causing the expanded area to grind off letting the rivets to work out. A person can unknowingly slip and fall when the steps give way. *tt *tr

The windshield wiper on the drivers side came off while driving in the rain. Talking with other owners of the same type motorhome this is a common problem. The only solution i've found is to tie one end of a rope around the wiper blade and and the other around the mirror support arm so when the wiper falls off it can be recovered otherwise it will be lost. Pulling over in heavy traffic, such as downtown atlanta or any big city, to replace/reattach a wiper is not a safe procedure and driving in the rain without a wiper is also not safe. This is an ongoing problem and not a one time occurrence.
