• Recall 80203 [USA]: The sensing algorithm or thermal switch installed to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected due to a possible hydrogen gas leak may not shut off in sufficient time to prevent a fire.
  Tiffin motorhomes is recalling certain recreational vehicles equipped with 1200-series norcold refrigerators. The population of refrigerators being addressed contains either a sensing algorithm or thermal switch to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected in order to prevent a potential fire. The response times of the sensor algorithm and thermal switch devices to stop power are not sufficient.
  tiffin motorhomes is working with norcold to identify and notify any affected owners. Owners will be instructed to contact norcold dealers to receive the remedy free of charge. • Recall 89290 [USA]: Release of coolant under certain conditions could ignite and result in a fire.
  On certain motor homes equipped with a two-door refrigerator manufactured by the dometic corporation, these refrigerators may have a defect in the boiler tube. Pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present.
  tiffin motorhomes will be working with dometic in order to repair these refrigerators (please see 06e076). Dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. Dometic has retained stericycle inc. To manage this campaign. Stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. • Recall 34059 [USA]: In some of the affected vehicles, the brake system warning indicator will not illuminate when the ignition is in the start position or for a low brake fluid condition, if the body builder relied solely upon ford's ivm compliance statement for the brake system warning indicator.
  Certain motor home chassis fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 105, "hydraulic and electric brake systems." the brake system warning indicator may not function as required by standard.

• Recall 4874 [USA]: Serious injury or death could occur if the vehicle occupant is not properly restrained.
  Vehicle description: motor homes equipped with safety belt assemblies produced by am-safe. On some seat belts, the buckle and connector may unlatch during a collision.
  am-safe notified tiffin's customers to return their vehicle to an authorized dealer to have the seat belts repaired free of charge. Owner notification began august 31, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact am-safe commercial products at 219-266-8330.

This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: dealers will replace the refrigerator's boiler tube assembly.

  On certain vehicles, the brake system warning indicator will not illuminate when the ignition is in the start position or when the brake fluid is low. Correction: the brake warning indicator bulb from the right side indicator position must be transferred to the left side indicator position of the instrument cluster and the wire harness must be modified.

  Certain refrigerators used in recreational vehicles (rvs) contain either a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch to interrupt power when it detects high temperatures that could lead to a fire. An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

2000 chevy p-30 chassis auto park the "auto park/emergency brake" system fails. This can happen going down the road at what ever speed you are driving or sitting still. *nm

After pulling onto the interstate the vehicle shut down. There was no steering and no brakes. Consumer was able to stop the vehicle, and there was fluid on the ground. The vehicle was towed, and the power booster had to be replaced.*ak

Brake lights/refrigerator, and generator had to be rewired. Brake lights didn't work at all. Refrigerator and generator were rewired wrongly. Also, power to generator wires were spliced and not covered. Contacted dealer. *ak overhead bunk bed fell on the driver and passenger while driving 35mph. *slc

While driving 30mph overhead bunk bed fell. Also, bunk bed was held up by two plastic latches. Contacted dealer, and dealer replaced them with metal pins to hold bed up.*ak consumer has several complaints regarding this vehicle, here are a few expamples of some of the complaints. Sliding window rattles, window loose in track, driver side interior window frame is shifted. Wires exposed going into generator, refigerator had to be rewired, brake lights were not wired at the factory, batteries ran dry, and circuit wired incorrectly. Front cap of body is cracking, it was stretched too tight when it was manufactured, side panels at front were never secured, and front grill was not fastened. Driver seat belt came unscrewed while driving. Both consumer experience neck and shoulder pain due to overhead bunk falling on them while driving. Passenger fan was defective, weight of the fire hydrant pulled screws out of the wall twice, blind holder broke, and overhead cabinets loose. Driver mirror missing screws and drivers lower mirror was missing. Windshield wiper blade bent and would not clean in center. Door latch and lock was difficult to open and close, latch was binding. *slc

While driving in the rain, vehicle's engine started to miss fire and at times it completely shut off and would drop 5-10 mph of speed, dealer found the air filter to be completely saturated with water, the filter housing and intake tube were also filled with large quantities of water, the dealer replaced the air filter. *slc

The tires that came with the vehicle (michelin 235/80 xrv on 22.5 inch rims) were properly inflated when the inner left reat tire blewout due to a defect in the sidewall, causing damage to the fender well cover. Nlm
