• Recall 130411 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2009-2018 allegro and allegro red, bus and phaeton vehicles, 2009-2010 bay vehicles, 2011-2018 breeze vehicles, and 2009-2015, and 2017-2018 zephyr vehicles. These motorhomes are equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 117461 [USA]: Unstable entry and exit steps increase the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2007-2015 motorhomes manufactured may 1, 2007, to december 31, 2014, equipped with certain coachstep double and triple electric steps. The bolt that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps. As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may become unstable.
  dealers will install a retainer bracket on the double step assemblies and the coachstep linkage assembly will be replaced and a retainer bracket will be installed on the trip step assemblies. • Recall 106622 [USA]: If the motorhome is loaded to the incorrect specifications listed on the label, tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 allegro bus 45 foot lp, 37 foot, and 40 foot motorhomes. In the affected vehicles, the federal certification label incorrectly states the front gross axle weight rating (gawr). As such, the vehicles do not conform to part 567, "certification."

• Recall 104508 [USA]: The weakened seat belt may fail to properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2013 allegro bus recreational vehicles equipped with villa iss gsk driver and passenger seats. The seat belt attachment may be incorrect and the seat belt may fray if it rubs along a steel bracket in the seat, reducing its strength. As such, these seats do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 209, "seat belt assemblies."

  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 allegro 33aa motorhomes equipped with an electric fireplace. In the affected vehicles, the fireplace may ignite a piece of exposed wood inside the electric fireplace.

• Recall 96450 [USA]: If motor damage has occurred, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.

  On certain motorhomes, the frame rail extensions may not adequately support the trailer hitch mounting flange. Under certain loading, or heavy braking conditions the trailer hitch could possibly detach, which would result in the loss of the towed vehicle and/or trailer, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will install frame rail extension liner brackets and add gussets to the lower extension flanges to add structural support to the hitch.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

  On certain vehicles, the connector for the brake and cruise control signal diode jumper assembly may come loose, resulting in a possible intermittent or continuously open circuit. Two circuits are potentially affected. One circuit disengages the cruise control with brake pedal application, and the other circuit illuminates the brake lights with brake application. Failure of the cruise control to disengage, or of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will verify that the locking tabs on the diode jumper assembly connector are fully engaged and locked into place.

  On certain vehicles, the compliance label does not contain the correct gross axle weight rating (gawr) for the front axle. The label incorrectly indicates a gvwr of 17,000 lbs on 45 foot buses and 16,600 lbs on on 37 and 40 foot buses. The correct gawr would be 16,000 lbs and 15,000 lbs, respectively. Incorrect gawr could cause the vehicle to be overloaded, which would result in poor vehicles handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.

  On certain vehicles, the driver and passenger seat belt attachment points may have been incorrectly installed. This could cause damage to the seat belt webbing over time, which could result in seat belt failure in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: dealers will inspect seat belts and correct those that are incorrectly installed. Seat belts showing signs of damage will be replaced.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 tiffin allegro 36la motor home. The contact stated that several doors on the motor home would not close properly. While in a second vehicle driving behind the motor home, it was observed that the passenger side of the motor home was leaning lower then the driver side. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the welding attaching the rv section to the chassis of the vehicle was fractured and damaged, causing the rv body to lean and become imbalanced and the doors to become difficult to secure. In addition, an electrical wire harness was damaged and caused several lights not to operate. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified, but the local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 27,000. *dt *dt consumer stated on october 4th the repair shop said that they will fix it but we have not had any communication since and they haven't mad arrangements to pick up the unit. Appears that box/rv frame tacke to chassis but never was final welded. Cooling system fan drive belt tensioner develops cracks that progress to the point of catastrophic failure where half the bracket end and two heavy pulleys are ejected from the vehicle by the fast moving fan belt.. This has been a known problem and tiffin has redesigned the bracket and is repairing them as they fail. There have been numerous failures and posts about them posted in the on-line recreational vehicle forums. As a result of these posts, i added a check of this bracket to my maintenance checklist. A major maintenance cycle was completed just before christmas and no problem was found. Another maintenance cycle was completed this may, approximately 6000 miles later, and the cracks were found. Tiffin was notified and a replacement bracket is being sent to me. *dt

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 tiffin allegro red 34qfa (na). The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 15v880000 (equipment). The part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The failure mileage was 32,000.

While driving rv with freightliner chassis encountered violent side to side rocking when front right wheel hits certain bridge joints, potholes or roadway dips near the right side of road,acts like tire blew, steering wheel shakes. Must stop completely to stop side to side rocking.This is on 2013 tiffin allegro red
