  Tiffin motorhomes is recalling certain recreational vehicles equipped with 1200-series norcold refrigerators. The population of refrigerators being addressed contains either a sensing algorithm or thermal switch to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected in order to prevent a potential fire. The response times of the sensor algorithm and thermal switch devices to stop power are not sufficient.

• Recall 73361 [USA]: If a leak occurs and the unit is continues to operate, hydrogen gas may be expelled and can be ignited, resulting in a fire, possibly causing serious injury or death.
  Tiffin is recalling certain recreational vehicle equipped with norcold model 1200lr and 1200lrim refrigerators, manufactured from december 1, 2001, with serial numbers between 1273701 and 1536607, non-consecutively. A fatigue failure in the section of the cooling unit which contains the refrigerant could allow the liquid solution to slowly leak. If a leak occurs and the refrigerator continues to be operated after solution circulation has ceased the heat source could generate very high temperatures. At such high temperatures, the cooling unit could rupture.

• Recall 88029 [USA]: The temperature increase at the wheel end can eventually lead to soft pedal conditions due to brake fluid boil, and possible extended stopping distance increasing the risk of a crash.
  Navistar is recalling certain model year my 2001-2008 workhorse w20, w21 and w22 chassis and certain model year 2009 through 2011 monaco rv admiral, arista, monarch, and riptide recreational vehicles equipped with axles that include bosch zops or zoht pin slide hydraulic disc brakes. When combined with occasional or seasonal vehicle operation may experience calipers sticking in the applied position. This can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end causing brake drag. The driver would normally have warning of the brake drag if undetected by the driver.

• Recall 89294 [USA]: Release of coolant under certain conditions could ignite and result in a fire.
  On certain motor homes equipped with a two-door refrigerator manufactured by the dometic corporation, these refrigerators may have a defect in the boiler tube. Pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present.
  tiffin motorhomes will be working with dometic in order to repair these refrigerators (please see 06e076). Dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. Dometic has retained stericycle inc. To manage this campaign. Stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. • Recall 34060 [USA]: In some of the affected vehicles, the brake system warning indicator will not illuminate when the ignition is in the start position or for a low brake fluid condition, if the body builder relied solely upon ford's ivm compliance statement for the brake system warning indicator.
  Certain motor home chassis fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 105, "hydraulic and electric brake systems." the brake system warning indicator may not function as required by standard.

  Vehicle description: motor homes equipped with safety belt assemblies produced by am-safe. On some seat belts, the buckle and connector may unlatch during a collision.
  am-safe notified tiffin's customers to return their vehicle to an authorized dealer to have the seat belts repaired free of charge. Owner notification began august 31, 2000. 2001 tiffin allegro rv. Consumer writes in regards to rv infested with rodents and seeks reimbursement. *smd *js

2001 allegro rv with workhorse w22 chassis. "brake dragging" issue. Drove through a small town at about 35 mph where i had to stop at three stop lights. After leaving the town at about 50 mph i smelled a brake burning smell coming from the rear of the vehicle. Stopped and discovered that the right rear brakes were smoking. Stopped for about 30 minutes until i could touch the brake disks with my hand and resumed travel. After about 10 minutes the brakes were smoking again. I stopped for a hour till the brakes were completely cool to the touch and continued 30 minutes to my home with no more problems. Replaced brake fluid. Workhorse informed me that my brakes were not covered in the brake recall after i told them that it met the came conditions and problems of the vehicles what were having "brake dragging" problems. *tr

Tl*the contact owns 2001 tiffin allegro. While traveling 45 mph the contact stated that they smelled a burning odor in the rear of the vehicle. When the vehicle was inspected, the mechanic stated that the rear rotors and calipers over heated and melted. When the contact spoke with workhorse, they were told that the vehicle was not included in recall campaign number 09v110000 related to the service brakes for the hydraulics. The failure and current mileages were 40,000.

The recall # is 05s28 for the speed control on my rv. I took my rv in to have it repaired . The dealership disconnected the speed control and said that the repair harness would be in in the middle of december 2007. I called on the 14th of december 2007 and was told that the harnesswould not be in until march of 2008. The reason for the recall is that the speed control would cause a fire whether it was in operation or not. My rv ids a 2001 tiffin allegro with a ford chasis. Installation of incorrect headlights. *mr the headlights were designed for angular body placement, but when used on a flat front, it shined little light on the road and shined more onto the shoulder and oncoming traffic. The electric speedometer would get stuck at 40 miles or so, the vehicle leaned to the right side at times, which caused a stabilization problem, the window coverings would not stay up during vibration of driving , the double hung window located near the entry door with a screen on the top piece would constantly fall down, the back up camera would become unplugged with vibration or would get knocked off when the turn signals were engaged, there was no water pressure valve system and the water would cut off, there was a water leak in the water system, the vertical vinyl strip cracked in the rear of the vehicle, and the hydraulic lines were hanging freely and rubbing the front wheel. While parked vehicle caught on fire. As a result, the motor home was totaled.*ak smoke was coming from a propane furnace located in the front of the motor home. The consumer attempted to turn on the exhaust fan but there was no power. *tc

Tires were improperly inflated, causing tires to blowout prematurely. *ak the label on the coach indicated the incorrect tire pressure and tire size. The manufacturer replaced all the tire with a larger size. *nm
