The headboard on this motorhome is an approximately 40 pound mirror and wooden frame supported on the paneling wall behind and above your head while sleeping. This mirror and frame detached from the wall separating and striking the pillows that we had just vacated that morning. The weight would have caused severe injury or possibility a fatality had we still been in bed. I contacted the manufacturer (phone and email with pictures) but only received a cavalier attitude about this issue stating it was out of warranty and suggesting i re-glue or screw the mirror back to the paneling it was attached to. When i asked how and where the studs were to use in attaching such a weight to the wall they couldn't tell me exactly where the studs were. They only said that there is an aluminum cross member somewhere. They said the original attachment was done with a glue like liquid nails and pin nails through the frame into the paneling on the wall. They suggested i do the same or add screws. I told them i felt this poses a risk to my wife and i. They said they understood, so just take it down and replace it with a picture. When i asked how to report this safety issue so others aren't at risk he said they don't have a means to do that! He also stated after driving down the rough roads that it's not unusual for things to fall off the walls!! It seems strange to me that it is acceptable while operating a vehicle this size for things to just fall off the walls! This vehicle is on a freightliner heavy truck chassis! I believe this poses two critical safety risks, 1) possibility of being struck by the mirror or frame while in bed. 2) the sudden detachment and associated noise is a tremendous distraction for an operator of a 32,000 pound vehicle that requires a special license to operate.

This vehicle is a 32 ft motorhome upon return from camping and about 5 miles from home on a secondary road traveling about 30 miles per hour. Struck a bump in the road which suddenly started the front wheels and steering to oscillate violently at which time i immediately began to slow and just before coming to a complete stop the oscillation stopped. The steering oscillation continued for several seconds and was quite violent. Death wobble.... This had also happened the previous year on a trip to florida in december 2012 while traveling at highway speed. Both occasions the incident happened after hitting a depression or bump in the roadway. The vehicle had been to a truck suspension shop for spring and alignment repair just prior to the december incident and was returned to that establishment upon return from florida in february 2013 and the vehicle was checked for any front end problems and nothing was found. It is hard to believe there is no repair or recall for this condition with all the comments and video available. *tr

We had one of the abs sensors replaced under warranty the first year we owned our motorhome.. Now when we are out of warranty(2004 allegro bay, 32,000 miles) we find out that our calipers were frozen so they wouldn't release, thus creating a huge drag on the motorhome. One of the calipers actually caught on fireon the right rear, also the axle seal blew while we were going down the road. It is a well documented fact that workhorse was aware of this problem. We had to have all of our calipers, pads and a couple sensors replaced at a cost of $2442.02. This caused our transmission fluid to overheated, therefore had to be changed at a cost of $199.63. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2004 tiffin allegro bay rv. While on vacation, the refrigerator would not keep the food cold or frozen. After returning home, a friend informed the contact about the dometic recall. He inspected his refrigerator and confirmed that the serial number matched those that were included in the recall. Dometic also confirmed that his unit was affected; however, they will only install a heat shield and not replace the unit, even after it ruptured and leaked coolant from the burner housing. The failure mileage was 29,000 and current mileage was 30,481. Updated 09/10/08 *bf updated 09/16/08
