• Recall 212876 [USA]: Unsecured passengers have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2022 allegro breeze, allegro red, allegro, allegro bus, phaeton, and 2018-2021 zephyr recreational vehicles. The sofa seat belts may not have been installed correctly, which could result in unsecured passengers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 210, "seat belt assembly anchorages."
  dealers will inspect and repair the seat belts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed october 29, 2021. Owners may contact tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is tif-118.

• Recall 229383 [USA]: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2017-2021 bus and phaeton vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.
  tiffin will work with cummins to inspect the rail threads , and replace the rail and fuel lines if damage is found, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed august 11, 2021. Owners may contact tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661.

• Recall 141302 [USA]: The additional resistance can cause the wires to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2019 phaeton, allegro bus, and zephyr motorhomes. The alternating current electrical wires may have been improperly secured in the energy management module, causing increased electrical resistance.

  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2019 tiffin allegro red, allegro open road, breeze, bus, phaeton, and zephyr motorhomes. The entry door on these vehicles may have been improperly assembled, allowing the door to open while the vehicle is moving.

• Recall 130449 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2009-2018 allegro and allegro red, bus and phaeton vehicles, 2009-2010 bay vehicles, 2011-2018 breeze vehicles, and 2009-2015, and 2017-2018 zephyr vehicles. These motorhomes are equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 2022007 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
  Issue: certain motorhomes built on a freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted power distribution module (pdm). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: this recall replaces fl-856 (transport canada recall 2020-421). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety risk: brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

• Recall 2021749 [Canada]: Wheels
  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: this recall replaces fl-861 (transport canada recall 2020-516). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety risk: a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a daimler trucks north america (dtna) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

• Recall 2021541 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the seat belts on the sofas may not be properly installed. As a result, the seat belts may not work as designed in a crash. Safety risk: a seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect and repair the seat belts on the sofas, as necessary.

• Recall 2021265 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: this recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a cummins l9 diesel engine. Safety risk: a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

  Issue: loose connections on the energy management module could cause the wiring to overheat. This module is located in the rear of the motorhome. Safety risk: wiring that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their motorhome to a dealer to inspect the wiring connections on the energy management module. Any loose connections will be repaired as required.

  On certain vehicles built on a freightliner chassis, the rear-mounted power distribution module (pdm) may have a manufacturing defect that could cause intermittent functioning of the rear marker, brake lights or left turn signal. Without brake lights, a following motorist may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.   On certain motorhomes built on a freightliner chassis equipped with air disc brakes, the brake caliper mounting bolts may be incorrectly torqued. This could result in the caliper bolts loosening, which could lead to the caliper detaching. Insufficiently torqued fasteners may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate potentially resulting in reduced brake effectiveness, which would result in increased stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: daimler trucks of north america service facilities will inspect the bolts, and repair as necessary.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. I saw a post on the tiffin rv forum regarding the valve stem stabilizers that freightliner provided on recent rv chassis equipped with a new style rim. I have a 2018 tiffin coach and had the same issue soon after i purchased it. I noticed that the valve stem was rubbing on the chrome wheel and in fact had rubbed off the chrome down to bare metal. I took it to bay diesel in red bay, al. And they replace the valve stems. They showed me on one where it had almost rubbed through and there would have been an air leak if i had driven it many more miles. I was told it was not warrantable and i paid for the replacement stems. It happened again soon after and when i called freightliner, the person i talked to said they know about the problem but have not come up with a correction as yet. Mfr build date was 4/1/2018.
