CSC-10052072-5056 Date Customer Name Customer Address Subject: TIB 45-046, PX-6 TBAP Sensor Jumper Harness Campaign Dear Kenworth Customer, Kenworth has identified that some medium duty vehicles built between 05/15/2009 – 06/26/2012 and equipped with the PACCAR PX-6 engine have a potential for the Temperature and Barometric Pressure (TBAP) sensor wires to rub against other components and create a short circuit. The TBAP sensor contributes to proper fuel delivery and engine timing and a short in the TBAP sensor harness may result in improper engine performance and even catastrophic engine damage. Vehicles listed by VIN on this letter are included in the suspect population and Kenworth would like the opportunity to inspect the TBAP sensor harness and make corrections if necessary. Please contact a Kenworth dealership to schedule an appointment for this work. You can find the nearest Kenworth dealer at Dealer Locator on the website www.Kenworth.com. When contacting your selected Kenworth dealer, refer to campaign TIB 45-046 and the VIN listed on this letter. The inspection and possible repair will take less than half an hour and there will be no charge to you. We apologize for this inconvenience but ask for your cooperation to ensure continued satisfaction with Kenworth products. Thank you, Mike Kalkoske Director, Quality Services Kenworth Truck Company VIN: TIB 45-046; PX-6 TBAP Sensor Jumper Harness Campaign Page 1 of 2 SB-10052072-9145 Technical Information Bulletin 45-046 Section Engine - 45 Subject PX-6 TBAP Sensor Jumper Harness Campaign Release Date 1/3/2013 Condition The Temperature and Barometric Pressure (TBAP) sensor harness may have wires exposed to rubbing/chafing on chassis listed.
