414-2 Mdl 587 Fog Lamp Page 1 of 2 SB-10055902-5053 Repair Notice 414-2 Section CAB Description Model 587 Fog Lamp Functionality Enabled Release Date 5/2/2014 Introduction Certain Model 587 vehicles were manufactured with the fog lamp functionality disabled. Peterbilt has software updates available that will enable the functionality of the fog lamps. Resolution Update the CECU software to enable the fog lamp functionality. Warranty The SIR system will indicate chassis involved in this field repair with the designator for 414-2. If the vehicle is affected and is shown to have an open campaign, please complete the work and file a quick claim "414-2”. Parts There are no parts for the campaign, only software updates. Labor Peterbilt will reimburse the dealer 0.3 hours labor for reflashing the CECU to correct the fog lamp defect. Use ESA version 4.4.2.153 for the latest updates Update software to P30-1014-108 for Model 587 Test functionality of fog lamps with high beam headlights. Fog lamps must turn off and stay off when high beam headlights are activated.
