Qualified and trained technicians should use The Service Bulletin. Making repairs or service without the adequate training and using inappropriate tools and equipment may cause injury and could damage the bus. Some of the procedures require specific tools designed for specific purposes, so use the tools mentioned in the manual when necessary. Bus service and repair must be done correctly following the instructions to ensure the safety of the service technician and correct function of the bus. If a part must be replaced, the same part number or an equivalent part should be used. Pay great attention to use a replacement part of good quality. 2. S ymbol List Operating Instructions in this bulletin includes the folowing symbols, warning words and signs: CAUTION This symbol is used in conditions which may cause damage or injury if necessary measures are not taken. WARNING This symbol is used in conditions which may cause severe damage or fatal injury if necessary measures are not taken. Danger This symbol is used to indicate danger. Visual Inspection 12 9 This symbol is used to inform the user that a visual inspection is necessary. 3 6 3. Before Start of Work 3.1. Mechanical Requested Dress Code Always wear protective clothing. Do not wear any damaged or loose-fitting clothing and remove jewelry before starting the work. In case of long hair use hairnet. The illustration below shows some of the correct on incorrect clothing that should been worn during work. Sharp edges should be avoided e.g belts, watches, necklaces to prevent catching the vehicle. 1 WARNING Dress correctly to avoid injury and damage to the vehicle. 3.2. G eneral Precautions Definitions M-Type: Application period of this bulletin is 12 months after the date of issue. M type bulletin is used for updates that should be implemented without waiting for customer complaints. Bulletin Types S- Type: Application period of this bulletin is 18 months after the date of issue. S type bulletin is used for Recall Campaigns. The part orders which will be placed after this date should be approved by Regional Coordinator. Expiry Date: Expiration date for the application. RELEASE DATE Release Date: As of this date the bulletin is released and available on E-Doc. Modification parts can be ordered. The time period between the release date and the effective date may vary according to the procurement lead time. Effective Date: As of this date specified amount of the total modification parts will be available on Spare Parts Stock. Modification parts can be ordered and the application can be performed. ( except non-compliance and safety related campaigns, i.e. S-Type Bulletin) EXPIRY DATE C-Type: Application period of this bulletin is 12 months after the date of issue. Open the engine lid. 2.Open the filling cap of the oil tank. Loosen the old lowest clamps (1st. and 2nd.) and drain the hydraulic oil. 3. Loosen all of the old clamps (961727 and 9617-28) and dismount the hydraulic hoses (TH362016Y and TH362022Y). Photo 1 4. Mount the new hydraulic hoses (963018Y and 9630-19Y) and tighten the new clamps (9617-43 and 9617-44) with a torque of 6 Nm . Photo 2 8 | TS 5. 5. Refill the oil tank with hydraulic oil drained in 2nd step. Close the oil filling cap and the engine hood. TIME hour min. 5 Step 2: Loosening the old lowest clamps and draining the hydraulic oil. 10 Step 3: Loosening all of the old clamps and dismounting the old hydraulic hoses. 10 Step 4: Mounting the new hydraulic hoses and tightening the new clamps. 10 Step 5: Refilling the oil tank.
