CSC-10056165-4743 May 2010 Product Update: Roof Rack Side Rails May Be Cracked Dear MDX Owner: This letter is to notify you of a potential problem with your vehicle and what you should do to resolve it. What is the problem? On some vehicles with a silver Genuine Acura accessory roof rack, a manufacturing problem may have produced small cracks at the ends of the roof rack side rails. If the side rails are not replaced, the cracks could worsen. This condition affects only silver-colored accessory roof racks installed or purchased before March 15, 2010. 2010 MDX Shown With Silver Acura Genuine Accessory Roof Rack What should you do? Call any authorized Acura dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. The dealer will replace the roof rack side rails free of charge. Please plan to leave your vehicle for half a day to allow the dealer flexibility in scheduling. If you cannot leave your vehicle for half a day, please contact the dealer to discuss other options. What to do if you feel this notice is in error Our records show that you are the current owner of a 2010 MDX that may have had a silver-colored accessory roof rack installed before March 15, 2010. If this is not the case, or the name/address information is not correct, please fill out and return the enclosed, postage-paid Information Change Card. We will then update our records.
