Install Brake Line Spacers
This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG). the manufacturer of MercedesBenz vehicles, has determined that th e spacing between two rear brake lines may not meet current
specifications in the subject vehicles and may lead to noise complaints. Dealers will install spacers on
the brake lines at the next workshop visit.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
•
Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously
repaired.
•
Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.
Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a veh icle
with a vehicle status indicator.
Approximately 47 1 vehicles are affected.

Control, and MBUSA-SLP S424H H001 . Control of Quality Records.

Procedure
1.
Remove two nuts (circled , Figure 1) then detach stone chipping guard at left front underfloor.

Cut off protective hose (2x10 cm), cut along the length and position at the two brake lines of rear axle
(as shown in Figure 2).
3.
Assemble in the reverse order.
