Upcoming Recall Campaign 114
Hyundai will inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
that it will conduct a voluntary safety recall of certain 2009 through
2012 Genesis sedan models that were produced beginning on April 01,
2008 through March 16, 2012. Hyundai dealers will inspect the brake
system and change the brake fluid. The service procedure will be
conducted at no cost to owners.
Prior to receiving the materials for Recall Campaign 114, dealers
should perform Service Campaign TL6 (TSB # 13-01-006-2) on any Genesis
sedan within the affected production range. In order to identify
vehicles affected by Service Campaign TL6, it will be necessary to
access Hyundai Motor America's "Warranty Vehicle Informationn screen
via WEBDCS before starting the repair. The "Warranty Vehicle
Informationn screen will identify affected vehicles with an open
Service Campaign TL6.
Hyundai Motor America plans to begin mailing customer letters in
November of 2013. Additional details will be sent as they become
available.
