Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 10-00-89-017U (Section 00 – General Information). Field Product Reminder – Car Issues – Fix it Right the First Time Reference Information/Bulletin Model Year(s) Vehicle Line(s) / Condition Do This Don't Do This 2012-2013 Sonic — Diagnostic Tips for Front Suspension Noise Remove the stabilizer shaft links and test drive the vehicle prior to replacing any components. If noise is not present after RH and LH stabilizer shaft links are removed, replace only the stabilizer shaft links. Replace any of the following components: Strut, Coil Spring , Strut Upper Mount , Stabilizer Shaft , Stabilizer Shaft Link before test driving vehicle with stab bar link removed. PI0808 2012 Sonic — Loose Park Brake Cable/Lever Re-adjust the parking brake cable adjusting nut. Replace the parking brake assembly. PI0812 2008-2013 All Lines — Information on Sunroof Glass Seal Creak Noise When Contacting Metal Roof Flange Lubricate Sunroof glass seal. Replace sunroof seal or sunroof glass. PI0810 2008, 2009, 2001, 2012 G8, Caprice PPV — Front Door Window Jamming Half Way - Glass Falling Out of Front Run Channel Replace affected window run channel w/ foam spacer. Replace window regulator. 12-08-64-004 2013 Volt, Ampera — Energy Info Screen Shows Mileage Accumulation Using Fuel When Using Battery Power Inform customer of one time event post HPCM2 reprogram. Issue will self correct as per bulletin. Replace the HPCM2. PI0801 2013 Volt — Service Parking Brake Message Displayed, Electric Parking Brake Light Flashing, DTC C027D Set Reprogram the EPB module. Replace the EPB module. PI0796A 2011-2013 Volt — Check Engine Lamp With DTC P0111 Clear DTC, Start the Engine. Updated software will be available soon. Replace ECM or MAF. Don't overlook this new model features PI. PI0804 2011-2012 Cruze — Coolant Leak at Water Pump Replace the water pump and gasket. Replace the engine mount bolts. Replace the water pump bolts. The gasket will fix the leak at the water pump bolts. PI0762B 2011-2012 Camaro — Exhaust Rattle Noise Verify complaint then install two o-rings per side. Replace the exhaust system. You will be replacing the system with the identical part and condition. PI0807 2006-2013 Corvette — Front Tire Chatter/Noise vs. Rear Differential Chatter Please test drive the vehicle cold. If the noise is heard with the steering wheel turned full left or right, unwind the steering wheel 180 degrees. If the noise goes away the noise is related from front tie hop and not related to the differential. Replace the differential fluid unless the vehicle has been tested and verified it is not tire hop. 09-04-20-001C 2010-2013 SRX, XTS, Terrain, LaCrosse, Regal, Malibu, Equinox, Camaro — Information on Diagnosing Intermittent Electrical Concerns with Components Fused Through Instrument Panel Fuse Block If you should encounter an intermittent electrical with a component that is fused through the I/P fuse block. Please refer to PI0745B. Replace any electrical components that are fused through the I/P fuse block prior to reviewing PI0745B. PI0745B 2012 Cruze — Whistle or Whine Type Noise Coming from Front Windshield at Highway Speeds Seal windshield lace to vehicle body. Replace the windshield. PI0809 2013 XTS — Center Console Arm Rest Latch Release Button Inoperative Request replacement button from WPC. Replace the center console or armrest. PI0806 2006-2011 HHR — Interior Door Handle Replacement Kit Replace inside door handle. Return 2-mode hybrid battery assemblies to the WPC. 07-06-03-008D 2010-2013 Terrain, Equinox — Steering Shudder (Vibration) During Slow Speed Maneuvers Install a revised high pressure steering line and associated parts as part of the repair procedure. Replace the steering rack & pinion assembly or steering pump. PI0814 2012-2013 Silverado, Sierra — Allison Automatic Transmission Service Engine Soon Light Illuminated Replace the affected Shift Solenoid. Replace the Valve Body. PIP5060 2012 Silverado, Sierra, Savana, Express, Colorado, Canyon — Replace The Internal Transmission Wiring Harness And TCC Enable Solenoid Anytime The Transmission Is In For Service Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) With DTC P0741 Set And Harsh 1-2 Shift Built Between 10/01/11 And 4/30/12 Replace the Internal Wiring Harness. Replace the Torque Converter. PIP5009E 2011 Sierra, Silverado — Driveline or Powertrain Drone Noise at 1350 RPM Replace the Differential Drive Pinion Gear Yoke/ Damper Kit. Replace or repair transmission. PI0803 2011-2012 Sierra, Silverado — Coolant Leak at Surge Tank, Radiator Surge Tank Cap Leak, Coolant Not Transferring from Surge to Overflow Section of Tank or Possible Engine Overheating Condition Properly identify coolant leak source.
