File in Section: Service Bulletin Bulletin No.: Date: PIP4880D October, 2013 PRELIMINARY INFORMATION Subject: (EREV) DTC P0335 And/Or P0336 Stored In The HPCM Models: 2011-2014 Chevrolet Volt 2012-2014 Opel Ampera This PI was superseded to update model list and vehicle fix. Please discard PIP4880C. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Customer may comment of a MIL, dealer technician may find history DTC P0335 and or P0336 stored in the HPCM. Recommendation/Instructions If the DTCs P0335 and or P0336 are found stored ONLY as history in the HPCM, please check ground connection G106 & G113. If both grounds are clean and tight, attempt to reproduce the DTCs. If the DTCs do not reset please clear the DTCs and do not attempt any repairs at this time. If the vehicle is a model year 2014, there is a software solution to address this issue and please update the T6 Power Inverter Module (HPCM) with the current software loaded into TIS-2-Web. If either of the DTCs P0335 and P0336 are stored in the ECM as well as the HPCM or are current, please follow published SI diagnostics. Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under warranty use: Labor Operation Description Labor Time 4069939 Powertrain Controls — Labor Only Verify DTC Does Not Reset And Release Vehicle Use published labor time 2810295 Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Reprogramming with SPS Use published labor time Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
