The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
Some owners may comment that they are unable to set a personalized easy exit seat and/or power tilt column
position and they will only move a predetermined amount.
Recommendation/Instructions
This is a normal operating characteristic of the easy exit seat and/or power tilt column. The easy exit seat will move
rearward approximately 3 inches when the feature is activated and the power tilt column will raise approximately 1 1/
2 inches.
If the owner wishes to have the seat move back further and/or power tilt column to raise further, the exit button can
be pressed on the door panel to get additional movement, until the seat is all the way back and tilt column all the
way up.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is
resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
