Symptom:

Fault Code 3748
Root Cause:

Aftertreatment intake NOx sensor internal heater degradation.
Verification

Verify build date of aftertreatment intake NOx sensor. See Figure 1 below for

If build date of aftertreatment intake NOx sensor is prior to August 2014, see Resolution
section below.

Verify the engine control module (ECM) calibration code has a revision date of August
2016 or later.
If ECM calibration code has a revision date prior to August 2016, see the Resolution
section below.
Resolution


If aftertreatment intake NOx sensor has a build date prior to August 2014, replace the
aftertreatment intake NOx sensor. See the corresponding Service Manual. Reference
Procedure 019-463 in Section 19.
If ECM calibration code has a revision date prior to August 2016, calibrate ECM. See the
corresponding Service Manual. Reference Procedure 019-032 in Section 19.
