Text DESCRIPTION: ABS=Anti-Lock Brake system BCM=Brake Control Module DTC= Diagnostic Trouble Code VIDA= Vehicle Information and Diagnostics for Aftersales *This journal is re-written in its entirety. If there is an unusual noise from ABS system together diagnostic trouble code BCM-C002201, then follow advice in Service. Production has changed the routing of the cable harness to the brake booster solenoid starting from chassis number 92921. SERVICE: Make the brake booster accessible and locate the connector to brake booster solenoid 8/46, see picture TJ 31473.jpg 1. Disconnect the connector and check that all terminals in connector and in booster solenoid are dry and clean, if necessary clean terminals and dry up with high pressure air. Note: replace complete booster if the male terminals have damages on the tin plating, PN 31400315 (follow VIDA VCC-ID: VCC-370759-14 for LHD cars). Note: replace female terminals in the connector if the terminals have damages on the tin plating, PN 30656680. 2. Reinstall the connector to the brake booster and make sure that the cable harness is routed in the same way as picture TJ 31473 -2.jpg. Reinstall all previously removed components (wiper mechanism, battery cable etc). 3. Clear DTC’s using VIDA and release the vehicle if the DTC’s does not reoccur. Note: In case the DTC BCM-C002201 can not be cleared or if there is a repeat repair, send a Vehicle Report using sub concern area “Support not needed”, f.gr 5900. VEHICLE REPORT: Yes, please submit a Vehicle Report if there are any cases after breakpoint in TJ header, or if the Service method does not have any effect.
