TO: Hyundai Dealership General Managers, Sales Managers, Service Managers, Parts Managers, and Warranty Administrators FROM: Hyundai Motor America DATE: 12/20/16 SUBJECT: Service Campaign TlO - 2015-16 Veloster Tailgate Switch Replacement (TSB# 16-01-072) Hyundai Motor America is conducting a Service Campaign to replace the tailgate switch on certain 2015-16 Model Year Veloster vehicles. Service Campaign TlO provides a procedure to replace the tailgate switch. In order to identify only those vehicles affected by Service Campaign TlO, it will be necessary to access Hyundai Motor America's "Warranty Vehicle Information" screen via WEBDCS before starting the repair. The "Warranty Vehicle Information" screen will identify affected vehicles with an open Service Campaign TlO. A listing of VEHICLES is also located on WEBDCS, SERVICE tab, select INFORMATION, and select UNCOMPLETED CAMPAIGN VIN LISTING DEALER STOCK and RETAILED. TSB #16-01-072 is available on Hyundai's Website as of December 20, 2016. It contains instructions on performing the service and submitting the campaign claim. A limited shipment of tailgate switches began shipping on December 19th to certain dealers with affected vehicles. Additional parts can be ordered from your Facing PDC. Tailgate Switches will be placed on "Campaign Parts Management" (CPM). It is IMPORTANT TO SUBMIT A CAMPAIGN CLAIM FOR EACH VEHICLE SERVICED so your dealership can be compensated for your work and Hyundai can maintain accurate records of campaign completions.
