GROUP Climate Control MODEL 2015MY~ Sedona (YP) 2016MY ~ Sorento (UMa) 2014MY ~ Soul (PS) 2015MY ~ K900 (KH) NUMBER PS360 SUBJECT: DATE May 2015 AIR INTAKE MODE CHANGES WHEN OPENING SUNROOF When addressing customer complaints regarding the air intake mode switching from Recirculation to Fresh Air mode without customer input; on the applicable vehicles in this Pitstop, the HVAC logic has been modified to switch the air intake mode to Fresh Air, automatically, when opening the sunroof. This is done to prevent exhaust gases from entering the cabin when the sunroof is open. This condition should be considered “normal operation” and NOT a malfunction. NOTE: On Sedona (YP) vehicles, the rear sunroof is NOT affected by this logic. Upon closing the sunroof, the HVAC system will switch back to previously selected mode (Recirculation or Fresh Air) Additionally, when the A/C is set to MAX, the air intake logic mode will remain in Recirculation mode until the sunroof is opened. This logic can be defeated, for a brief period of time, by pressing the Recirculation Mode button while the sunroof is open. The HVAC system will switch back to Fresh Air mode after three (3) minutes have elapsed. Page 1 of 1
