Some 2012-2017 Focus sedan where the luggage compartment lid won't stay up. The vehicle has 2
counter springs mounted under the package tray. Using the parts catalog, verify the proper springs
are installed. This model has dampeners to soften the Open/closing action, it is not a gas charged
strut. The dampeners are not used to support the lid, and have very low resistance when off the
vehicle. Vehicles with a spoiler require the stronger spring set, that has a white grommet installed in
current production.
