After filling up the fuel tank to “full”, the fuel gauge will drop down to about 7/8 (see Figure 1) quickly after a short
drive.

Replace the Combination Meter.

Look up the Combination Meter part number using the VIN with WIN/FAST or equivalent, and then
order the corresponding New Part number listed in the Parts Information on next page through Model
Electronics.

Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section MWI – Meter, Warning Lamp & Indicator for
removal and reassembly.
