The cooler piping located adjacent to the radiator may become damaged by corrosion resulting from road salt and / or salt water accumulation. The new replacement piping has a double-thick Teflon™ coating applied to prevent corrosion damage. Installation of additional foam packing in the area near the radiator fan will also help to minimize water intrusion. PART INFORMATION PART NUMBER DESCRIPTION 45522AG041 45169FG000 Pipe Complete - AT Oil Packing IMPORTANT: Both parts listed above must be replaced as a set. SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION Replace the AT cooler piping following the procedure outlined in the applicable Service Manual. Important Reminders: • Do not use a screwdriver or pointed tools to release the rubber hoses from the cooler pipes. • Where applicable, be careful not to bend the air conditioning condenser piping. • Bend the rubber connecting hoses slightly and inspect them closely for any cracking, peeling, leakage or evidence of any other damage. Replace the cooler hoses if any damage is verified. • Squeeze the cooler hoses with your fingers to make sure they have elasticity and not become hard, paying close attention to the clamping areas. • Make sure the hoses are properly routed with no kinks, tight bends or twists which could restrict fluid flow. • Replace any deformed hose clamps. • Always confirm the fluid level of the transmission is full before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
