CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: The door pocket leather may be loose or wrinkled.
Cause: This may be caused by moisture in door trim panel.
Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction below.

color of the trim on the vehicle.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
1. Open the door.
2. Check the interior of the vehicle for signs of water and make sure the interior is dry.
3.
NOTE: Make sure the surface of the leather does not get so hot that it cannot be touched by
hand.
NOTE: The leather will change during this procedure.
Using a heat gun set to the lowest setting, apply heat for 2 minutes and 30 seconds to the affected area.
1. Hold the heat gun 8"-10" (200mm-250mm) from the leather.
2. Keep the heat gun moving at all times (side-to-side, up and down, and in a circular motion).
4. Leave the door trim panel leather to cool for 5 minutes.

NOTE: Make sure the surface of the leather does not get so hot that it cannot be touched by
hand.
NOTE: The leather will change during this procedure.
Using a heat gun set to the lowest setting, apply heat for 2 minutes and 30 seconds to the affected area.
1. Hold the heat gun 8"-10" (200mm-250mm) from the leather.
2. Keep the heat gun moving at all times (side-to-side, up and down, and in a circular motion).
6. Leave the door trim panel leather to cool for 4 hours.
7. Visually check the door trim panel leather to see if it is still loose or wrinkled.
• If the door trim panel leather is not loose or wrinkled, go to step 9.
• If the door trim panel leather is still loose or wrinkled, go to step 8.
8. Repeat steps 2 - 7 a maximum of 3 times.
• If the door trim panel leather is still loose or wrinkled after repeating steps 2 - 7 a maximum of 3 times,
door trim panel replacement should be considered.
9. Repeat steps 1 - 7 for the other door trim panel leather if required.
