ISSUE
Some 2011-2016 Expedition and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the roof opening panel shield while
driving over bumps.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Does the vehicle exhibit a rattle from the roof opening panel that stops when applying light pressure on the panel?
a. Yes - proceed to Step 2.
b. No - refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17 for normal diagnostics.
2. Install the roof opening panel shield repair kit. Refer to the installation instructions included with the kit.
