Some 2015-2017 Transit vehicles may exhibit trim issues that are not warrantable by Ford. Transit
vehicles are equipped with interior and exterior trim which are not painted and have a grained
appearance. Concerns related to trim paint peeling, overspray, fading, or discoloring, are likely the
result of modification. Modified vehicles may be identified by aftermarket badging, labels near the
safety decal in the door jamb, and/or names in the Ship To field on the window sticker. Other
indicators of modification may include custom or two tone exterior paint, smooth and/or body
colored exterior trim such as mirrors, bumpers or body side moldings, custom wheels, unique seat
cover stitching, or custom trim/moldings. Modifiers typically provide product care and warranty
literature with the completed vehicle or on their website.
