Rework Seam Seal at Right Tail Lamp
This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG), the manufacturer of MercedesBenz vehicles, has determined that the seam seal at the right rear tail lamp may not be to specification.
To verify and correct this condition, an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will rework the seam seal at the
right rear tail lamp at the next workshop visit.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously
repaired.

Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.
Approximately 44 vehicles are affected.

This bulletin has been created and maintained in accordance with MBUSA-SLP S423QH001, Document and Data
Control, and MBUSA-SLP S424HH001, Control of Quality Records.

Procedure
1.
Remove right tail lamp (AR82.10-P-4905CW).
Note:
Be careful not to damage tail lamp seals when removing tail lamp.
2. Thoroughly clean seal seam and then degrease with silicone remover (shop supply).
3. Apply missing sealant (Figure 1).

this campaign. If replacement of additional part(s) is necessary, check coverage prior to
